Outings
The Central Texas Flyfishers has many outings, both formally planned and the more common impromptu trips. Organized fishing outings have included White Bass fishing on the Guadalupe above Canyon Lake, Trout Fishing on the Guadalupe (both wade and float trips), San Marcos River outings, floating the Colorado River east of Austin, the Blanco River (in non-drought years), fishing the flats for redfish and Speckled Trout, and the ocassional BBQ. Impromptu get togethers have included a trip to Kerrville to fish with the Hill Country Fly Fishers on the upper Guadalupe River. Check our message boards for members seeking fishing partners.
We also partcipate in river cleanups on the San Marcos and Guadalupe rivers, working hard in our efforts so that we are able to fish afterward.
This year's Outings Officers are Jack James & Paul Muller
Outings are generally scheduled for the Fourth Saturday of the month, except when there is a three day weekend, or other conflict.
